We are stoked to announce the second edition of our BATTLE OF THE STONE skateboarding competition in collaboration with SBGB! The biggest and raddest skateboarding event of our year will see the top skaters in the UK battling it out to become crowned KING & QUEEN of The Stone.

• Street & Park competitions.

• Qualifications take place on Saturday, and finals on Sunday.

• Limited places - competition entries via SBGB website, spectator tickets available via Graystone website.

• Main event prizes: 1st £500, 2nd £350, 3rd £100

• Competition Format: 45-second runs, heats & finals

• Entry Fees: £20 single category entry, £30 Street & Park entry, £7 spectator

• Friday night Open Practice session 6-10pm - 50% discount entry for competitors

• Food & drink served 10am - 8pm Saturday & Sunday

It's that time again, October half-term is just around the corner!

Camp Graystone is our action packed holiday camp. Our experienced coaches take care of your little ones for the day. Learning new skills, making new friends and having heaps of fun!

COPING FESTIVAL 2022 HIGHLIGHTS

Still totally BUZZING from @copinguk FEST 2022! We raised £4902 for mental health charities @thebenraemersfoundation & @thehorsfall_42ndstreet. Huge thanks to @oakley for putting up the prize purse, @stanceeurope for supporting our media efforts on the day and our event partners @petspurest @wearefearlessadventures @cybersecurity360 and to all the brands who offered up giveaways 👏 A huge thank you to @consentforbreakfast @jesswinterr @itsokayproj @schoolofelectronicmusic for curating an awesome creative side to the day and to @partingtonspots for making our awesome COPING CLASH trophy. We are opening our doors to all students and societies to come and experience all that Graystone Action Sports has to offer, for FREE. Not got all the gear? Or have no idea? No stress...we will have equipment available to hire & will be offering FREE TASTER COACHING sessions. Don’t miss a fantastic opportunity to find your bearings!

All abilities are welcome to participate, spectators are also welcome to watch the action from our viewing area.

Once you've had a taste of the action there will be some tunes in the bar thanks to Red Bull, with the bar hydrating until late.

• FREE ENTRY is only offered with tickets booked online in advance. Tickets at the door are £5. Spectators enter free, no ticket is required.

Here we give you the inside track on this year’s custom Coping Clash Master trophy made locally by the awesome @partingtonspots

We'll have 3 CLASH areas + the bowl and we'll be dishing out cash gear for tricks and the Coping CLASH MASTER walks away with their pockets stashed with cash!

WORLD ROOKIE TOUR | UK ROOKIE FEST - NEW DATE!

We're stoked to announce we are hosting 🛹🇬🇧 UK ROOKIE FEST 2022 🇬🇧🛹 the British stop of the World Rookie Tour skate series.

This is a great opportunity for kids to enter their first competition in a fun and friendly environment.

Winners of the UK event earn their spot in the European finals in Innsbruck this October where they'll go head-to-head with Europe's finest Rookies!

Please note this date has been changed from August 20th to September 17th. All those with bookings on the original August date have been informed.

Born in 2005, the World Rookie Tour started out as a series of youth snowboard events and has evolved to become a series of high-quality international action sports events for snowboard, freeski, skateboard and surf. The so-called "Rookie Fests", are reserved for riders under 18 only, in Europe, North and South America, Oceania and Asia.

For the first time ever, the World Rookie Tour is making a stop in the UK, and will be giving an opportunity to the two best riders to win an invitation to ride, and all-inclusive tickets, to the final in Innsbruck, Austria.

The UK stop of the World Rookie Tour will take place at Graystone ‘The Home of Action Sports’ in the incredible city of Manchester, a city with a rich history and tradition in skateboarding.

The event is expected to have the usual good vibes and unique atmosphere associated with the World Rookie Tour events, and spectators can expect a high level of riding, music, chill drinks and amazing food.

Top 3 riders from each nation, both men and women / Rookie and Grom, and the Best Trick winner, from every official WRT qualification event are already qualified to the World Rookie Finals. World Rookie Rank and Age Categories
2022 World Rookie Tour Skateboard events are reserved for Rookies (born from 1st of January 2003 to 31st of December 2006) and Groms (born from 1st of January 2007 and up), both male and female. All contests in the World Rookie Tour will generate results for the World Rookie Rank.  Not only events in the World Rookie Fest can be part of the Skateboard Rookie Rank. Any event can be part of the Skateboard Rookie Rank as long as grom – and rookie aged riders participate as well. For example, the European Best Foot Forward Tour by Blue-Tomato, featuring 10 stops all over Europe, for riders of all ages in one group, is already part of the Skateboard Rookie Rank.

COPING FESTIVAL 2022

Coping festival is a community event bringing together businesses and individuals for a collective purpose - to raise money for charities tackling issues that affect us all. Big thanks to Oakley who are supporting Coping this year alongside many other brands and charities. Saturday 27th August.

This year Coping will be raising funds for the excellent charities Ben Raemers Foundation & 42nd Street.

It's going to be a sick evening of skateboarding and live music from some super talented bands all in good spirits to raise money for SKATEPAL.

SkatePal is a charity supporting young people under occupation in Palestine through skateboarding. Our coach Kiera will be spending a month volunteering with them to deliver coaching to the children they work with. Proceeds from this event will go to their cause.

GRAYSTONE LOCAL AYVA CLAIMS SILVER AT FLO HUB CHAMPS 🥈

We are super proud of Ayva for claiming second in the female street of the Flo Skatepark hub competition last weekend, massive result! The event endorsed by Skateboard GB included the top skaters in the UK from the regional talent hubs network. The Graystone Hub, lead by our coaches Danny & Gabriel, had several skaters competing.

Ayva has been smashing it recently and her level of skateboarding has progressed massively. To take second in a National Competition is a huge achievement at such a young age, well done Ayva! Congrats to all the skaters who competed in the event representing the Graystone Hub.

We can’t wait to watch our skaters compete at the National Champs this year.
