WCMX and Adaptive Skate Jam hosted by former World Champion Lily Rice
On the 21st August the 2021 UK WCMX and Adaptive Skate Jam takes place at Graystone Action Sports in Salford, hosted by Women’s’ WCMX World Champion Lily Rice.
WCMX or Wheel Chair Moto Cross is a new para sport that involves taking your wheelchair to the Skatepark and doing tricks on it. This year we are also reaching out to the community to welcome Adaptive Skateboarders that would like to take part.
The aim of the Jam is to get like-minded people of any age together that want to experience skating whether in a chair or on a board at one of the UK’s finest skateparks. Participants will need to bring with them suitable safety equipment such as gloves, elbow and knee pads and a helmet and their own wheelchair/ Skateboard. Equipment will need to be mechanically sound.
There will be Spotters and Pushers to assist riders should they be required.
Book online via the Graystone website. Select the 21st August on the online checkout and the Jam appears under the “open session & events” tab.
We look forward to seeing you here!

The entire event will be broadcast LIVE on BBC Sport iPlayer, BBC Website and BBC Red Button.⠀

PARK RUNS
PARK RUNS pits 16 local heavy hitters against each other in a completely empty park to skate in a comp format that challenges them both mentally and physically 💪 All PARK RUNS competitors had just 1 hour to learn a line, lock it down and then film 1 complete run. The skaters had no idea who they were skating against, or even what terrain they’d be skating. Word from the wise ... skating for 1 hour solid, under this type of pressure is T O U G H !

Go Skate Day - 21st June
Come and learn to skate! Go Skateboarding Day is an annual one-day celebration of skateboarding, held on 21st June (and this year on the 22nd June also), with the aim of promoting the sport and encouraging skaters to drop everything else and get outside. Originally conceived in 2004, with a few simple skate sessions and barbecues held in skateboarding’s unofficial capital, Southern California.
