We’ve made some changes to our Girls sessions! We are now running coaching sessions every wednesday. During these times we will make areas of the park exclusive, this will ensure a safe environment for those in the session. Other areas of the park will be open to everyone.

U15’s at 6pm

Over 15’s at 7pm

For those wanting to join the session without the coaching that also fine, please select the freeride option on the checkout.

We will no longer be running the fortnightly girls sessions on Sundays but we will have Girls Only events throughout the year which will be bigger than ever. Stay tuned! Wednesday coaching sessions will commence on Wednesday 8th December.

COPING FESTIVAL ROUND-UP

COPING 2021 was one for the books! 🎉 🛹 🎨

It's already been one month since @copinguk, our SKATE CREATE & WELLBEING 1 day festival hit Graystone!

The vibes were high, the skating was through the roof and we raised £3120 for our 2 charities (@thebenraemersfoundation & @thehorsfall_42ndstreet). Most importantly we raised lots of awareness around mental health and wellbeing.

We are opening our doors to all students and societies to come and experience all that Graystone Action Sports has to offer. Not got all the gear? Or have no idea? No stress...we will have equipment available to rent at discounted student rates PLUS we will be offering free Beginner Skate lessons!

Once you've had a taste of the action there will be some tunes in the bar thanks to Red Bull, with the bar serving up draught beers and themed cocktails until late.

GIRLS SKATE SESSIONS

We are relaunching our girls skate sessions! Commencing Sunday 11th July

Our fortnightly girls sessions are an opportunity for females to shred together in a friendly, positive and inclusive environment. Coaching is available, a great way to for beginners to gain confidence in the skatepark.

Freeskate from 5pm -9pm

Beginner Coaching at 5pm freeskate after

Improver Coaching at 6.30pm freeskate before & after

The session is inclusive and we welcome individuals who are cissexual, transgender, intersex women & non-gender conforming.

At Graystone we are passionate about supporting progression in action sports, our dedicated coaches guide you through your action sports journey ensuring you enjoy the process! Our group sessions have a fun and friendly atmosphere and we also offer private coaching for a more tailored experience.

Skateboard GB x Habito National Champs

💥 We’re honoured to announce that we will be hosting the 2021 Skateboard GB x Habito National Champs 🇬🇧

The one-day competition will be the only British Olympic qualification event leading up to the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, with skateboarders competing for qualification points and £7,000 in cash prizes.⠀

Due to strict Covid-19 restrictions, permission had to be obtained from Government to hold the event, which must meet extensive Covid-19 regulations and protocols, including a reduced number of skateboarders (invite only) and no spectators.⠀
⠀
The 32 skateboarders have been invited based on points scored at the 2019 National Championships and World Skate Olympic ranking points.⠀
⠀
A total of 8 skateboarders entered the women's street and park events at the 2019 National Championships. Skateboard GB's selection committee has come together with Girl Skate UK to populate the remaining quota places. Considering previous competition experience and reviewing video footage.⠀

The entire event will be broadcast LIVE on BBC Sport iPlayer, BBC Website and BBC Red Button.⠀

Our Coaching Clubs are back!

From this weekend our U16’s coaching clubs will recommence, we are stoked our coaches can be inspiring progression once again! The coaching clubs include; skateboard, scooter, freestyle gymnastics and parkour. Our CAMP GRAYSTONE club on a Wednesday will also be recommencing from tomorrow. Places are limited and available to book via our website.

PARK RUNS

PARK RUNS pits 16 local heavy hitters against each other in a completely empty park to skate in a comp format that challenges them both mentally and physically 💪 All PARK RUNS competitors had just 1 hour to learn a line, lock it down and then film 1 complete run. The skaters had no idea who they were skating against, or even what terrain they’d be skating. Word from the wise ... skating for 1 hour solid, under this type of pressure is T O U G H !
